The development will create a landmark for Birmingham and a gateway into the city centre. The scheme comprises of: Boulton Tower, 53 storeys of 498 residential apartments, Watt Tower, 723 student residential flats over 41 storey’s, Galton Skytree, a 14 storey, co-living block with 265 ‘best in class’ units and an office/research and development space with life sciences building of 9 storeys, 12,000m2.

Working alongside other members of the design team, we are taking a whole building approach to achieve an energy efficient development. The design has driven down energy demand through a high quality, optimised thermal envelope in line with Passivhaus principles. This has enabled fossil fuels to be eliminated from the site with heat pumps satisfying all heat demands. This energy is further offset through roof and façade mounted photovoltaics.

Tani Dulay, Chief Executive of Woodbourne Group commented "Curzon Wharf isn’t just a development, it’s a manifesto that will position Birmingham as UK’s leading smart and sustainable city, helping to pave the way for the UK’s green revolution. It reinforces Birmingham's position as the UK’s second city."
