Our plans get developed into three levels:
- Level 1: Overarching timeframes
- Level 2: Detailed tasks
- Level 3: All design and construction interdependencies
Incorporating all the processes, from Commissioning, Qualification and Validations to Operational Readiness and regulatory approvals, allows us to have full visibility of the project's critical path at all times.
Procurement + Contracting strategy
Selecting the right strategy for the project to procure the works is paramount. There are a number of parameters to consider:
- Single or two-stage
- Level of information at tender
- Role of the incumbent team post-tender
- Programme
- Cost certainty
- Risk appetite of client
In Science, Technology and Manufacturing, it is also paramount to consider how the procurement of equipment takes place and ensure that the dependencies are interwoven with the cosntruction of the building.
Our approach develops a bespoke strategy for each of our projects, recommending not only how to procure the works to align with the project's objectives, but also the contract selection that best suits.
Project MOT / Audit
We help Clients perform a Project or Programme MOT by analysing project data across the Commercial, Project Management and Design spectrum. Our analysis assesses the building's compliance with the design requirements, brief and construction standards.
Our team, reports back to the Client on these areas and provides a detailed advice for an objective overview of the project and provides valuable information to Stakeholders with recommendations on how to improve.
You can read more about this and how we deliver Project MOT Audits in our Insights here.

Project Recovery
Sometimes projects don't go as planned, despite best efforts. Bringing in an exteral person to the team to take a hollistic view and formulate a road to recovery is key to unlocking the recovery.
At EEDN, we bring both Project and Design Management principles to the table for Project Recovery as we believe that both skills are required to challenge the norm. We go back to the business case and expected benefits of the project before establishing the list of corrective actions and refocus the team to the new targets.

Client-side secondments (Executive PM)
We support some of our clients by allocating some of our staff on an interim basis to work internally for a defined period and role.
This brings an immediate benefit to our clients' teams by increasing the ability level of their internal delivery, whilst at the same time maintaining the head count.

Risk Management
Managing both risk and opportunities requires a collaborative process and a buy in from the stakeholders. We ensure that we embed risk-conscious behaviours from the outset, infiltrating all areas of the project.
Proactive mitigation enables engagement and allows us to turn certain risks into opportunities by promoting a culture of sharing and collaboration.
